Do I need a credit card to start?: No. The Free plan needs no card — sign up and start taking bookings right away. You only add a card when you choose to upgrade to Pro.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?: Free covers the essentials: up to 10 bookings a month, unlimited team members, calendar sync and automated emails. Pro (A$99/mo) removes the booking limit and unlocks your own branding, taking client payments at booking, and the Xero + Notion integrations.
What happens if I hit 10 bookings on Free?: New bookings pause until the start of the next month, or you can upgrade to Pro any time for unlimited bookings. Cancelled bookings don't count toward the limit. Your existing bookings are never affected.
Are there transaction fees?: Shootbase doesn't take transaction fees. On Pro, clients pay you directly via your own Stripe account — you pay Stripe's standard processing fee to Stripe, not to us. Xero invoicing is included with no extra fee.
How do I cancel Pro?: Admin → Billing → Cancel Pro. You stay on Pro until the end of the current billing period, then drop to the Free plan. Your data and settings are kept, and you can upgrade again any time.
Can I run multiple companies on one account?: Yes. The same Shootbase login can hold owner/admin/staff roles at multiple workspaces. You use the workspace switcher in the admin sidebar to move between them. Each workspace has its own plan and billing.
